CampingGo is a mobile app designed for camping enthusiasts. What sets it apart from other shopping platforms is its integrated community feature, allowing users to explore real-life experiences shared by others. This helps users make more informed decisions about which products are best suited for their own camping adventures.

Challenge


  • Limited Product Range: Many camping apps or websites may not offer a comprehensive selection of gear and supplies for outdoor activities in Canada, such as products suited for harsh winters or unique terrains. This can frustrate users who need specialized equipment.

  • High Prices and Limited Discounts: Camping gear is often expensive, and users may be frustrated by a lack of sales, discounts, or rewards programs tailored to frequent campers.

  • Lack of Community Features: Many users want to share their experiences or see recommendations from fellow campers. Without social or community-driven features, users miss out on advice and peer validation.

  • Lack of Real-time Reviews: Trustworthy reviews are crucial for outdoor equipment, but many apps may not offer up-to-date, user-generated reviews, leaving shoppers uncertain about product quality.

By clicking on the items linked within a post, users are directed to the product detail page, where they can view the product description, price, specifications, availability, and feedback from other users who have purchased the item.

Additionally, users can view all posts that mention this product for reference.

The product page features a categorization system to help users quickly find what they are looking for. Products can be filtered by brand, type, material, and weather Resistance.

Of course, users can also use the search bar to directly search for specific items, making the discovery process seamless and efficient.

The homepage features genuine stories shared by users, where each story can receive likes. Users also have the option to follow the creators, fostering a sense of community and connection.

Every post supports real-time interactions, allowing users to leave comments and engage with both the creators and other users. This dynamic interaction helps to create an engaging and collaborative environment.

Furthermore, products featured within posts can be linked to available items for purchase, making it easier for users to share and discover products they find valuable or effective.

I used contrasting colours for the icons and buttons, both derived from earthy tones. This approach ensures visual distinction while maintaining a natural and cohesive aesthetic.
